This is Country

Award-winning New Mexico singer-songwriter Sarah Rowe embodies the rugged spirit of the American West, grounded in the traditional music of her childhood. Born in Albuquerque and raised just west of the Manzano Mountains, Sarah's love for music began early. Singing and writing lyrics since she could talk, she bonded with her father through music, performing for their family.

Influenced by a wide range of genres, including Traditional Country, Bluegrass, Folk, Texas Country, Americana, and Southern Rock, Sarah admires artists like Randy Travis, Dolly Parton, LeeAnn Rimes, LeeAnn Womack, Allison Krauss, and many more. Her southwestern upbringing also shines through her love for New Mexico's beautiful terrain and her career as a professional photographer.

A season spent on the open plains of West Texas left a significant mark on Sarah's sound. Traveling around Texas, she attended live shows at honky tonks and pubs, soaking in the local and touring Texas country acts. "It has its own sound, and it really just stuck with me," she says. "Texas holds a really special place in my heart."

Sarah has since returned home to New Mexico, where she enjoys raising her son while pursuing music. "I always knew that I wanted to do it; I just didn't know when or how," she shares. "I had my son young, and there wasn't a whole lot of free time being a single mother. He's getting older now, and he encourages me to do what makes me happy. The timing feels right."

Her music is a blend of New Mexico, Texas, and everywhere else along the way, a unique mix she calls "Tumbleweed Country" and "Southwest Country." Sarah's songs capture the essence of cowboy culture and the outdoors, reflecting her experiences hiking, fishing, riding horses, and enjoying nature. "I'm just an ordinary girl doing ordinary things and singing about it," she says. With a grounded approach to life and music, Sarah Rowe shares the beauty of a simple existence and the diversity of the people she has met along the way.

Sarah has had major growth with her top-streamed singles "Oh Cheyenne" and "Wild West Dreams," both showcasing a love for Western culture and rodeo. She has quickly made a refreshing and hardworking name for herself as an independent, self-managed female artist in the country music industry. A true workhorse, she is determined to find her way in the country music industry. Aside from living an authentic country life, Sarah has thrown herself in the world of music and has actively involved herself in the Western lifestyle and events like the National Finals Rodeo, Cheyenne Frontier Days, San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, World Series Team Roping, Houston Rodeo, and more. Sarah has also opened for major country music acts such as Flatland Cavalry, Josh Abbott Band, Kyle Park, Bri Bagwell, Chris Cagle, Eli Young Band, Bart Crow, Curtis Grimes, Slade Coulter, and many others.

Additionally, Sarah has formed brand partnerships and collaborations with prominent western brands like Boot Barn, Mavericks Westernwear, Samsville Gallery, Lane Boots, and many more.

Sarah is currently in the studio working on upcoming releases. “We’ve had tremendous support from friends, family, and the community. It takes an army of people to make a dream happen. I’ve got a pretty good one, and I’m thankful. I just want to make music with people that love music as much as I do. I truly feel like we are making a difference, and making an impact with music, and that’s exciting."

Sarah hopes to release a “Roots” EP titled "WWD" in 2024. "I just want to get down to the core of where I come from, where I’ve been, and what inspires me, with the songs and sounds of the upcoming releases. There will be stories about love, life, faith, heartbreak, history, and everything in between. I think there will be something for everyone. I’m learning so much. I’m excited for people to hear it,” she says. “I hope that by being true to my authentic self and chasing my dreams, it will encourage others to do the same. This is my contribution.”
